Again, I wouldn’t declare “victory” too soon. Two of your subtitles are: “You Say Lawsuit, I Say Attempted Takeover of Government” and “The Fight Continues.” Then you pose that “Most of us are just waiting” and “the battle to save our Republic has only just begun.”

Waiting for what? For everything to play out on television and suddenly just be “okay”? Or are we going to be proactive and SHAPE our national destiny?

I have been advocating that citizens get behind The Pledge to Safeguard the Election [https://sign.moveon.org/petitions/pledge-to-safeguard-the-election] if the 2020 presidential election results are threatened in any way. Put pressure on Republican politicians so that they don’t just fear getting primaried by Donald Trump – make them fear losing in the general election if they threaten to overturn the Electoral College results.

But more broadly to your question regarding “why?”, I would also propose getting behind The Pledge to Safeguard the Constitution [https://www.thepledge.site/the-pledge-to-safeguard-the-constitution]. This second petition is a call for BOTH parties to limit presidential power around a targeted set of legislative proposals that addresses the most imminent and vital threats to our republic by an authoritarian President – whether this be Donald Trump or any reincarnation of him. While The Pledge to Safeguard the Constitution doesn’t answer “why” all of the atrocities are happening, it does propose significant steps regarding WHAT to do to curb them in a consolidated versus “piecemeal” manner.

Admittedly, both proposals are only a start. But you have to first put out the fire so the house doesn’t burn down before you can work on further fireproofing your home.
